I've been wanting to program my Clie from the day I bought it. I'm a software developer for work, but not on the Palm. I've written a few small Palm programs using a borrowed copy of MetroWerks. I gave up on this because I knew I could never afford my own copy of MetroWerks for Palm just for hobby programming. Then I discovered that OnBoardC was still around and is now free! OnBoardC is a Palm compiler that runs on the Palm. It's not easy to write and edit code on the palm, but it is worth it to me because I can write code while my destop machine is busy compiling work stuff. The big news is that I have succeeded in accessing and using the Sony HiRes library via OnBoardC! Finally I can program for the cool high res Sony screen on the Sony.
